This is a piece that was built during the first part of Covid when we couldn’t travel freely to Germany to bring it to my son. That’s a story in itself. Suffice to say we managed to bring it to him before the Army moved him back to the States. The design and dimensions are based on an identical old chest that my father-in-law painted a cool design on and that has been in the family for quite some time. Carcase in recycled barnwood, lid is brown oak, sliding tray is cherry and the end handles are ash.
